The Horns

on the horns of a dilemma
the hallucinatory horny
horns of a hard place
rock, devil, deep blue

a bitch of a place to be
coaxing myself down
like a stranger, incapable
stuck on a wild lodgement

the doctors gave to me
so many excuses
and cogent reasons
for the flaws in my behaviour

strange but not so strange:
I have to go it the hard way
